At Umbra Psychology, we provide compassionate support for parents and parents-to-be throughout every stage of their journey. Our perinatal psychology services are designed to help individuals and couples navigate the emotional, psychological, and relational challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.

Cosmetic Surgery Psychological Assessments

As of July 2023, psychological screening is now mandatory for everyone seeking cosmetic surgery and procedures. Whether referred by a medical professional or independently, if you are seeking further recommendation to empower your transformation journey, we offer a compassionate approach.

Umbra Psychology provide independent psychological assessments for individuals considering cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures, in accordance with current Australian regulatory and professional guidelines.

These assessments support patient wellbeing, inform decision-making, and surgeon compliance.

Services include:

  • 1:1 Pre-cosmetic surgery psychological assessments (between 60-90 minutes)

  • Exploration of motivation, expectations, body image, and psychosocial factors

  • Psychometric screening for conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, mood or anxiety concerns

  • Post-procedure psychological support where clinically indicated

  • Clear, timely written reports for referring practitioners and liaison with your surgeon

  • Follow up after your procedure
