Perinatal Psychology
At Umbra Psychology, we provide compassionate support for parents and parents-to-be throughout every stage of their journey. Our perinatal psychology services are designed to help individuals and couples navigate the emotional, psychological, and relational challenges that can arise during pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.
We support clients experiencing:
Pregnancy and postpartum anxiety or depression
Birth trauma and perinatal loss
Adjustment to parenthood and relationship changes
Fertility challenges and IVF support
Parent-infant bonding and attachment issues
Adjustment to a child’s neurodivergent diagnosis and proving support to parents through this journey

Children’s Therapy
Umbra Psychology are dedicated to helping children, tweens and teens navigate life's challenges. With a warm and understanding approach, we provides a safe space for kids to express themselves, offering support for everything from emotional struggles to behavioral concerns. Whether it's dealing with anxiety, school issues, body image issues, neurodiversity challenges (including ADHD or ASD diagnosis) or family changes, we work closely with both children and their families to build coping skills, boost confidence, and promote emotional well-being. We offer therapy in two formats to suit your needs:
Face-to-Face Sessions:
Visit our comfortable, welcoming practice for an in-person session.
Telehealth:
Speak with a psychologist from the comfort of your home via secure video conferencing.

A weekday appointment is charged at $250, and an afterhours (after 5pm) or weekend (Saturday) appointment is charged at $270.
We do offer limited bulk bill appointments, and there is currently a considerable waitlist for these.

A referral is not required to see a psychologist. However, if you wish to access Medicare rebates, visiting your GP to obtain a Mental Health Care Plan and referral will entitle you to a rebate of $96.65 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Speak to your GP to check your eligibility.

Some private health insurance plans include psychological therapy coverage. We recommend checking with your health fund provider to confirm your level of coverage and any applicable benefits.
